TNJO (Tuesday Night Jazz Orchestra) will be holding its last rehearsal of 2011 on Tuesday 13th December followed by a Jam Session at The Ship Pub (Christchurch High Street) on the 20th. 7.30pm onwards.

Thanks to all TNJO members for another great year of playing. Is that 2 years now? More NYJO arrangements to come for 2012. Our first rehearsal will be Tuesday 10th January 2012 at All Saints Church, Oxford Avenue in Southbourne, Bournemouth, Dorset. We still need Brass, Piano etc, we still have places for Saxophones and any other applicable Big Band instruments. If you are a classical player and have always fancied playing in a Big Band, this is the band for you. TNJO is purely a rehearsal band, started to give players a chance to improve their sight-reading skills and give them experience playing this type of music. As long as you have a sight-reading level of about Grade 5, that is all we require.

We have a mixed age of 12-70 and a mixed ability of beginners, adults who have returned to their instruments after years not playing, young adults getting ready to go to music college etc.
